How Did The Srs And The State Police “Lay Down” The Machine Tools?

Even after a year and a half, it has not been established who has picked up the machine tools used to make illegal cigarettes in the tobacco factory. The SRS and the State Police blame each other, the Prime Minister is dissatisfied.
The Riga District Police is in no way able to explain who managed to take out the machine tools with the production of 3 million illegal cigarettes from the tobacco factory in Riga, moreover, in front of the eyes of the SRS and the State Police, writes
The results of a recent study show that Latvia is a land of smuggled cigarettes. One in four cigarettes in the country is smuggled or counterfeit. And at a time when it would have been possible to catch one of the manufacturers of such cigarettes, the SRS and the State Police missed it, and the production line where cigarettes without an excise stamp were released was dismantled and taken in an unknown direction.
In 2014, the SRS detained a truck in which more than seven million non-excise duty cigarettes were found. The driver admitted that the cargo was received in Riga, in the tobacco factory Juriga. There are two versions of what happened next: the State Police says that the SRS has provided it with insufficiently accurate information, the SRS claims that it has acted in accordance with the regulations. However, a few weeks after the police arrived at the factory for inspection, there were no workbenches, and it is still unknown who collected them and where.
The two services blame each other, but Prime Minister Maris Kučinskis is dissatisfied with both. The Minister of Economics Dana Reizniece-Ozola is going to meet with the Minister of the Interior Rihards Kozlovskis to finally find out which of the two machines has disappeared in front of his nose and what to do so that such troubles will never happen again.
